NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR REGIONAL BUSINESSES: A TWO-DAY PROFESSIONAL EVENT HELD IN DILIJAN

“Financing, Support Programs, and Innovative Digital Tools”

On April 11–12, 2026, a two-day professional event titled “New Opportunities for Regional Businesses: Financing, Support Programs, and Innovative Digital Tools” was held at the Best Western Paradise Hotel in Dilijan.

The event brought together around 120 participants and industry experts representing all regions of Armenia to discuss modern tools and opportunities aimed at the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

During the first session, experts from the Investment Council of Armenia presented support programs, legislative reforms, and application procedures developed within the framework of the SME public-private dialogue platform led by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan. In particular, they introduced:

  • Loans with interest rates of 0–4% for SMEs,

  • A certification support program offering 50% reimbursement of certification costs for products and companies,

  • A simplified application process allowing employers to receive up to AMD 500,000 per employee when hiring inexperienced individuals or forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh,

  • New amendments applying 0% VAT for e-commerce activities,

  • Updated regulations on product returns,

  • Tax deductions of up to 2.5% of gross income for donations made to state universities or other educational institutions.

Following this, partners from the International Organization for Migration addressed the topic of engaging migrant labor in Armenia, presenting both opportunities and risks for employers. The discussion was led by IOM consultant Sergey Ghazinyan and Head of the Migration and Citizenship Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Srbuhi Minasyan.

A key component of the event focused on business process automation, featuring hands-on workshops on the application of artificial intelligence, marketing strategies, and improving operational efficiency. The sessions were conducted by representatives of reArmenia Academy, Arshak Ulubabyan and Ella Manukyan.

The second day was dedicated to developing modern sales skills, effective use of online platforms, and alternative financing tools. These sessions were delivered by Taron Papikyan, founder of SSB Academy, and Artak Grigoryan, representative of reArmenia Academy.

At the conclusion of the event, a problem-mapping session was held, providing participants with the opportunity to present legislative challenges faced by their businesses and explore potential solutions.

The two-day event proved to be an effective platform for regional businesses to acquire new knowledge, build partnerships, and gain closer insight into available support programs.
