Initiative of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to Establish a 7-Hour Workday

The draft proposes to reduce the duration of working hours, setting it at 7 hours per day instead of 8, and 35 hours per week instead of 40, while maintaining the existing salaries. It is proposed to refrain from reducing working hours for now. Instead, effective mechanisms should be implemented to ensure the protection of workers' rights, including eliminating or reducing cases of unpaid overtime beyond normal working hours.
